ブータンで滞在中、長女眞子さまはワンチュク国王夫妻や前国王らと面会、地元の人とも交流を深刻された。

4日に西部パロに移動し、現地で野菜栽培の普及に貢献した故西岡京治氏の記念館を見学。

6日には登山し、断崖絶壁に立つチベット仏教の聖地タクツァン僧院も訪問された。

共同通信によると、訪問の目的は友好親善。

先の報道によると、秋篠宮家の長女眞子さま(25)が、法律事務所勤務の小室圭さん(25)と婚約されることが明らかになり、日本国内では祝賀気分が広がっている。
